Additional Information
The Additional Information area is a place where important information about the lot is displayed for the Member's consideration when bidding.
Agreement for transfer of tax liability
When the vehicle is not registered in Finland, and if the vehicle will registered for road traffic use in Finland, the buyer is responsible for the vehicle’s car tax and VAT charged on its amount and other tax related payments. Also if the vehicle's certificate of conformity is not valid or has expired, the buyer is responsible for all costs and expenses which arise from certificate of conformity acquisition.
BID4U
BID4U represents the highest bidder during both the preliminary bidding process and the virtual auction. Simply enter the maximum price you are willing to pay for the lot during preliminary bidding and BID4U will bid on your behalf up to your maximum bid during the virtual auction. BID4U will only bid one increment over the current bid to maintain your position as the highest bidder. If there is two equal bids, the bid placed in live-auction wins the bid placed via BID4U.

Body Style is the vehicle's configuration.

Colour listed on this site comes from Finnish vehicle register and it does not necessarily correspond to the current situation.
Copart Control Requirements
ACTIVE SAFETY DEVICES
The active safety equipment of the vehicle shall be repaired (using the methods specified by the manufacturer). A description, calibration certificates and the manufacturer’s instructions for replacing the components of the active safety systems in question may be required to be presented in connection with the registration inspection and/or repair control. A certificate of correct wheel alignment (including vehicle manufacturer’s or suspension system manufacturer's specifications) may be required at the inspection. If the manufacturer requires that the safety equipment be new, a document may be required that proves that the product in question was new (e.g. spare part receipt). In addition to these reports, a system test report may be required, which shall be a printout from the test equipment. The documentation shall identify the issuer, the condition/functionality of the safety devices and the test equipment used. Photographs taken during the repair may be required to be presented at the time of registration inspection.
AXLE OR AXLE MOUNTING DAMAGED
Damage to the axle, subframe and their mountings shall be repaired (using the methods specified by the manufacturer). The wheel alignment angles of the vehicle must be checked and corrected/adjusted prior to registration inspection. A certificate of correct wheel alignment and the measurements of subframe mounting s (including vehicle manufacturer’s or suspension system manufacturer's specifications) may be required at the inspection. The measured values shall be provided as a printout from the measuring equipment and the certificate shall indicate the measurer, the measuring equipment used and the vehicle measured. Any driver assistance systems that are dependent on the wheel alignment must also be recalibrated after adjusting the alignment of the wheels. There shall be receipts for the spare parts used in the repair of the vehicle, or a reliable account of the origin of the spare parts shall be provided. The vehicle may be required to be presented for the inspection without anything covering the repaired area. Photographs taken during the repair may be required to be presented at the time of registration inspection.
CHASSIS OR UNDERSIDE DAMAGED
When repairing a vehicle, a specified component (mentioned in the reference, such as trunk floor) is to be replaced. The replacement work shall be carried out according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The photographs, the description and the manufacturer’s instructions for replacing the part in question may be required to be presented in connection with the registration inspection and/or repair control. Damage to the chassis or underside of the vehicle shall be repaired (using the methods specified by the manufacturer) and the bodywork and repaired areas shall be measured. The results of the measurements and their accuracy may be required to be presented at the time of the inspection by means of a measurement report stating the reference values, measured values, the certifier, the measuring equipment used and the vehicle measured. There shall be receipts for the spare parts used in the repair of the vehicle, or a reliable account of the origin of the spare parts shall be provided. The vehicle may be required to be presented for the inspection without anything covering the repaired area. Photographs taken during the repair may be required to be presented at the time of registration inspection.
EXPERT MONITORING
The buyer commits to repair the vehicle fully in accordance with the manufacturer's repair instructions and in accordance with good repair practice. The buyer is responsible for ensuring that the vehicle has been repaired for crash and safety equipment so that its road safety has been maintained despite previous damage and damage repair. The buyer must provide Copart Suomi Oy's repair specialist with the requested documentation regarding the vehicle repair process. The vehicle may be taken into traffic only after it has been repaired according to the manufacturer's instructions, and the repair documents have been approved by Copart Suomi Oy. The buyer commits these terms in writing when picking up the vehicle.
FIRE OR SMOKE DAMAGE
The vehicle has been subjected to a fire or smoke. The vehicle’s safety devices, equipment, electrical system and mechanical parts must be brought into conformity with the requirements of the manufacturer. A report on the repair and/or replacement of safety devices, equipment, electrical system and mechanical parts may be required in connection with the registration inspection and/or repair control. If the manufacturer requires that the safety equipment be new, a document may be required that proves that the product in question was new (e.g. spare part receipt). In addition to these reports, a system test report and calibration certificates may be required, which shall be a printout from the test equipment. The documentation shall identify the issuer, the condition/functionality of the safety devices and the test equipment used. Photographs taken during the repair may be required to be presented at the time of registration inspection.
FRAME DAMAGED
The frame of the vehicle shall be repaired or replaced (using the methods specified by the manufacturer). A frame inspection and/or straightening certificate may be required for the vehicle at the time of the registration inspection. The measurement report shall state the measurement results, the manufacturer’s specifications, the measuring equipment used, the certifier and the vehicle measured. A report on the replacement of the vehicle frame may be required to be submitted in connection with the registration inspection. If a second-hand frame is used, a frame measurement report may be required to be submitted, stating the measurement results, the measuring equipment used, the certifier and the vehicle measured. The measurement report shall be a printout from the measuring equipment. There shall be receipts for the spare parts used in the repair of the vehicle, or a reliable account of the origin of the spare parts shall be provided. The vehicle may be required to be presented for the inspection without anything covering the repaired area. GAS, HYBRID OR ELECTRICAL VEHICLE
The gas/electrical or hybrid system of the vehicle may have damage that is not visible from the photographs. The vehicle shall be repaired using the methods specified by the manufacturer and in accordance with the relevant legislation and safety guidance. The repairs and adjustments of vehicles powered with natural gas must be done in accordance with Regulation 558/2012 of Finnish Government in regards to the rights of the gas installation companies and qualifications of the responsible persons. Tasks, which consist of retrofitting, repairs and service of natural gas powered vehicles which include adjustment procedures must only be performed by approved companies whose responsible person has a qualification level of P (gas). The repairs of hybrid and electrical vehicles is considered to be electrical work and they must be carried out in compliance to electrical safety regulations. The person performing the work must be adequately qualified. The repair must be carried out in accordance with the electrical safety standard SFS 6002. In addition the person performing the repair must familiarize himself to the electrical system of the vehicle model that is being repaired to ensure the safety of the electrical work. The manufacturer's repair instructions may require the replacement of a high-voltage battery, especially if its structure or safety device is damaged. A person responsible for the electrical safety of the repair and his qualifications must be shown when required (e.g. SFS 6002 Electrical safety training and/or familiarization with the electrical system of the vehicle model. A recommissioning inspection of the high voltage system must be performed and a recommissioning certificate must be presented at the registration inspection and/or repair control. POWERTRAIN DAMAGED
Damage to the powertrain components of the vehicle shall be repaired (using the methods specified by the manufacturer). When necessary, the wheel alignment angles of the vehicle must be checked and corrected/adjusted prior to registration inspection. A certificate of correct wheel alignment (including vehicle manufacturer’s or suspension system manufacturer's specifications) and a diagnostic report of the powertrain components may be required at the inspection. The measured values shall be provided as a printout from the measuring equipment and the certificate shall indicate the measurer, the measuring equipment used and the vehicle measured. There shall be receipts for the spare parts used in the repair of the vehicle, or a reliable account of the origin of the spare parts shall be provided. The vehicle may be required to be presented for the inspection without anything covering the repaired area. Photographs taken during the repair may be required to be presented at the time of registration inspection.
SAFETY DEVICE DEPLOYED
The vehicle has safety devices that have been deployed. The safety devices can also have damages, that are not visible in the photographs. The vehicle’s safety devices must be brought into conformity with the requirements of the manufacturer. A report on the repair and/or replacement of safety equipment may be required in connection with the registration inspection and/or repair control. If the manufacturer requires that the safety equipment be new, a document may be required that proves that the product in question was new (e.g. spare part receipt). In addition to these reports, a system test report may be required, which shall be a printout from the test equipment. The documentation shall identify the issuer, the condition/functionality of the safety devices and the test equipment used. Photographs taken during the repair may be required to be presented at the time of registration inspection.
STEERING DAMAGED
Damage to the steering system components of the vehicle shall be repaired (using the methods specified by the manufacturer). The wheel alignment angles of the vehicle must be checked and corrected/adjusted prior to registration inspection. A certificate of correct wheel alignment (including vehicle manufacturer’s or suspension system manufacturer's specifications) may be required at the inspection. The measured values shall be provided as a printout from the measuring equipment and the certificate shall indicate the measurer, the measuring equipment used and the vehicle measured. Any driver assistance systems that are dependent on the wheel alignment must also be recalibrated after adjusting the alignment of the wheels. There shall be receipts for the spare parts used in the repair of the vehicle, or a reliable account of the origin of the spare parts shall be provided. THEFT
The vehicle has been subjected to theft or attempted theft and keys belonging to the vehicle may be missing. The vehicle’s safety devices, equipment, electrical system and mechanical parts must be brought into conformity with the requirements of the manufacturer. A report on the repair and/or replacement of safety devices, equipment, electrical system and mechanical parts may be required in connection with the registration inspection and/or repair control. If the manufacturer requires that the safety equipment be new, a document may be required that proves that the product in question was new (e.g. spare part receipt). In addition to these reports, a system test report and calibration certificates may be required, which shall be a printout from the test equipment. The documentation shall identify the issuer, the condition/functionality of the safety devices and the test equipment used. Photographs taken during the repair may be required to be presented at the time of registration inspection.
VANDALISM
The vehicle has been subjected to vandalism. The vehicle’s safety devices, equipment, electrical system and mechanical parts must be brought into conformity with the requirements of the manufacturer. A report on the repair and/or replacement of safety devices, equipment, electrical system and mechanical parts may be required in connection with the registration inspection and/or repair control. If the manufacturer requires that the safety equipment be new, a document may be required that proves that the product in question was new (e.g. spare part receipt). In addition to these reports, a system test report and calibration certificates may be required, which shall be a printout from the test equipment. The documentation shall identify the issuer, the condition/functionality of the safety devices and the test equipment used. WATER DAMAGE
The vehicle has been subjected to water or has been submerged. The vehicle’s safety devices, equipment, electrical system and mechanical parts must be brought into conformity with the requirements of the manufacturer. A report on the repair and/or replacement of safety devices, equipment, electrical system and mechanical parts may be required in connection with the registration inspection and/or repair control. If the manufacturer requires that the safety equipment be new, a document may be required that proves that the product in question was new (e.g. spare part receipt). In addition to these reports, a system test report and calibration certificates may be required, which shall be a printout from the test equipment. The documentation shall identify the issuer, the condition/functionality of the safety devices and the test equipment used. Photographs taken during the repair may be required to be presented at the time of registration inspection.
VEHICLE BODY DAMAGED
When repairing a vehicle, a specified component (mentioned in the reference, such as the front chassis leg) is to be replaced. The replacement work shall be carried out according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The photographs, the description and the manufacturer’s instructions for replacing the part in question may be required to be presented in connection with the registration inspection and/or repair control. The upper dimensions of the vehicle’s body (e.g. B-pillar or roof side rail) shall be corrected (using the methods specified by the manufacturer) and measured. The results of the measurements and their accuracy may be required to be presented at the time of the inspection by means of a measurement report stating the reference values, measured values, the certifier, the measuring equipment used and the vehicle measured. There shall be receipts for the spare parts used in the repair of the vehicle, or a reliable account of the origin of the spare parts shall be provided. The vehicle may be required to be presented for the inspection without anything covering the repaired area. Photographs taken during the repair may be required to be presented at the time of registration inspection.
WHEEL SUSPENSION DAMAGED
Damage to the wheel suspension components of the vehicle shall be repaired (using the methods specified by the manufacturer). The wheel alignment angles of the vehicle must be checked and corrected/adjusted prior to registration inspection. A certificate of correct wheel alignment (including vehicle manufacturer’s or suspension system manufacturer's specifications) may be required at the inspection. Any driver assistance systems that are dependent on the wheel alignment must also be recalibrated after adjusting the alignment of the wheels. The measured values shall be provided as a printout from the measuring equipment and the certificate shall indicate the measurer, the measuring equipment used and the vehicle measured. The Current Bid is the highest price offered for this lot at this time. There may be a higher maximum bid being represented by BID4U. The Current Bid is always listed in the currency of the country of the facility.

These are comments entered by the Copart pertaining to the listed sale, which highlight items of note or relay other pertinent information.
Damage Descriptions
Damage Descriptions are used to indicate known damage to the lot. These descriptions only indicate known or reported damage and are limited by their nature. Copart Finland expressly disclaims the accuracy of Damage Descriptions, as information may not accurately reflect the type or extent of damage to any vehicle. Damage Descriptions may not be used or relied upon for bidding purposes or for any other reason:
ALL OVER – Damage to more than 2 areas of the vehicle -E.G. Rear End/Side/Front.
ANIMAL DAMAGE – Impact damage caused by an animal.
BIO HAZARDOUS/CHEMICAL – Chemical contamination to any area of the vehicle.
BOAT FRAME DAMAGE – Frame or Chassis damage used only for boats.
BURN – Extensive fire damage to most/all of the vehicle.
BURN ENGINE – Fire related damage including wiring damage due to defects/short circuits.
BURN INTERIOR – Fire related damage to any part of interior/luggage bay includes wiring damage due to defects/short circuits.
FRAME DAMAGE REPORTED – Frame or Chassis damage used only for motorbikes and trailers.
FRONT END – Damage to front of the vehicle (Front wings forward).
HAIL – Damage to any body panels of the vehicle from hail stones.
MECHANICAL – Damage to engine and gearbox to include: Knocking/Noisy engine. Smokey Engines. Gears not engaging. Oil Leaks. Cracks/Holes in engine or gearbox including sump.
MINOR DENTS/SCRATCHES – Minor dents to any panels of the vehicle not bigger than 30 mm. Multiple scratches on any panels of the vehicle.
MISSING/ALTERED VIN – VIN number missing from the vehicle or if the VIN has been altered or restamped in the vehicle.
MOTORBIKE SIDE/ROLE DAMAGE – Use for bikes only - a bike which has fallen onto its side
NORMAL WEAR – No visible evidence of significant accidental damage. Normal wear and tear related aspects of condition only.
PARTIAL/INCOMPLETE REPAIR – Visible evidence of Poor or Incomplete repairs to vehicle body, Chassis or paint.
REAR END – Damage to the rear end of the vehicle including the rear quarter panels and boot floor. (If boot floor damage always image.
REJECT REPAIR – Visible evidence of Poor or Incomplete repairs to vehicle body, Chassis or paint.
ROLLOVER – All panels including roof damaged that clearly shows signs of being rolled and/or flipped. Includes possible engine oil spillage.
SIDE – Damage to either side of the vehicle, including front wings and rear quarters. If both sides are damaged this is classed as side.
STRIPPED – Any parts removed or missing from the vehicle.
TOP/ROOF – Visible damage to roof, door and/or tailgate tops.
UNDERCARRIAGE – Visible damage to any part of the underside including body and any ancillary fittings. Includes such as suspension, exhaust, fuel tank etc.
VANDALISM– Where damage is overall and relatively light in nature, broken glass, contaminated paintwork, slashed upholstery. Includes apparent theft related damage to door handles, locks, steering lock/cowls, ignition wiring.
WATER/FLOOD– Water damage to interior or mechanical defects (engine/transmission) due to water ingestion.
Damage location info
Vehicle has only minor damages. The location of the damage is specified in the additional information of the lot.
Drive
Designation of the vehicle's power train from Finnish vehicle register.
Engine
Designation of the vehicle's engine from Finnish vehicle register. Members are encouraged to inspect vehicles and validity of the information displayed thoroughly before bidding.
Engine Start Program (S)
At the time the vehicle arrived at Copart's facility, Copart verified that the vehicle (i) started, and (ii) ran at idle. There is no guarantee, representation, or warranty that the vehicle will (i) start or (ii) run at idle at the time the vehicle is picked up at Copart's facility. It is the Member's sole responsibility to ascertain, confirm, research, inspect, and/or investigate the vehicle prior to bidding on it. Once the vehicle is removed from Copart's premises, the Member accepts the vehicle "as is".
Equipment
Vehicle's equipment are indicated according to the available information. For example, the condition of air conditioning, heater, radars, etc. cannot be ensured.
EX WORKS (EXW), Incoterms 2010/2020
The seller delivers the goods by placing them at the disposal of the buyer at the named place at the agreed time of delivery. The buyer pays the costs and bears the risks after the delivery of the goods. The buyer also carries out all export and import formalities including export and import clearance, export and import customs formalities, licences, duties and other costs and charges related to the export and import of the goods. The buyer pays the costs and bears the risk of loss of or damage to the goods after the delivery. The buyer carries out export and import formalities.
Fuel
Designation of the vehicle's fuel type from Finnish vehicle register.
Image
Copart takes at least eleven (11) images of each vehicle processed for sale.
Keys
Indicates the quantity of keys delivered together with the vehicle.
Location
Location designates the Copart location that is processing the sale of the item(s). For a complete list of Copart Finland facilities, please check out the Locations tab on the navigation.
Lot Number
Lot Number is Copart's unique identifier for each vehicle.
Make
Make is the manufacturer's brand name.
Membership Fees
Copart Finland offers different types of memberships. Please read more about Memberships.
Mileage Codes
The odometer reading may differ from the actual. Copart expressly disclaims the accuracy of odometer readings. Such information may not be relied upon for bidding purposes or for any other reason.
Model
Model is the manufacturer designation of the lot.
Non-Operational (N)
At the time the vehicle arrived at Copart's facility, Copart verified that the vehicle (i) neither started nor (ii) ran at idle, it is non-operational. It is the Member's sole responsibility to ascertain, confirm, research, inspect, and/or investigate the vehicle prior to bidding on it. Once the vehicle is removed from Copart's premises, the Member accepts the vehicle "as is".
Offsite Sales (O)
Offsite Sale lots are not physically located at a Copart facility but are sold during the regular VB3 sale of the other Copart facilities. The 'preview' and 'pickup' location is listed for each lot. Please review the preview dates and times to make arrangements to inspect any item. Buyers will be responsible for pickup of the lot from the location listed with the normal free storage period. All regular Copart fees apply to the sale of Offsite lots.
PAV
PAV stands for the "Pre Accident Value" of the lot and represents the market value of the vehicle prior to the incident as submitted to Copart by market data from equivalent vehicles. This value is presented for informational purposes only. Copart makes no representations as to the validity or accuracy of the listed value.
Purchase Options
Purchase options indicates the current status of the lot. Possible values and their meaning are:

Pure Sale - No minimum bid or reserve price. Lot will be awarded to the highest bidder at the close of bidding during the Virtual Auction.

On Approval - Seller has reserved the right to approve the final high bid achieved during the Virtual Auction. Seller has until 5:00 p.m. two business days after the sale to approve the bid. The high bidder is obligated to purchase the vehicle if released by the seller within the approval period.

Minimum Bid - Seller has placed a reserve price on the lot. If the minimum bid is not surpassed during the Virtual Auction, Seller has the right to accept or reject the highest bid.

Buy it Now - Buy a vehicle immediately for the price listed by the Seller. This option is only available on selected vehicles. You can select the 'Buy It Now' option any time between the vehicle being listed on the website and the start of the live virtual auction.
Registration Year
Year when vehicle was registered for the first time. This may differ from the actual manufacturing year
Run & Drive (R)
At the time the vehicle arrived at Copart's location, Copart verified that the vehicle (i) started, (ii) could be put into gear, and (iii) was capable of moving forward under its own power. There is no guarantee, representation, or warranty that the vehicle is in roadworthy condition or can be driven lawfully upon the highways of any state. There is no guarantee, representation, or warranty that the vehicle will (i) start, (ii) drive, or (iii) move forward under its own power at the time the vehicle is picked up at Copart's location. It is the Member's sole responsibility to ascertain, confirm, research, inspect, and/or investigate the vehicle prior to bidding on it. Once the vehicle is removed from Copart's premises, the Member accepts the vehicle "as is."
Sale Date
Sale Date is the date that the Virtual Auction is conducted for the selected lot or facility. Each facility conducts sales on a regularly scheduled basis. Please refer to our Calendar feature under the Auctions tab for a complete listing of sale dates.
Sale terms
Conditional repair
-
The vehicle is sold in damaged condition and has been removed from the register. Prior to the entry into service, the vehicle must be inspected according to the Vehicles Act Decree 134 and Decree 24 of the Finnish Government’s regulation regarding approved vehicles (Valtioneuvoston asetus ajoneuvojen hyväksynnästä), and re-registered according to the Vehicular and Driver Data Register Act Decree 7. A conveyance certificate or repair cost calculation is not required after the insurance company has removed the vehicle from the register. Photographs must be presented at the registration inspection.

Safety constructions and safety devices have to be repaired based on the regulations of the manufacturer. The repair work has to be performed using correct methods. The properties of the safety constructions must be restored to the level where they were before the damage.

If demanded, the origin of the parts used in the repair work must be truthfully accounted for.

If the insurance company is the repair supervisor, work done has to be seen over according to the way the insurance company defines, in a work phase agreed upon before starting the repair, and, at the latest, before painting and rust prevention treatment.

If the seller or inspection official insists, there must be presented an acceptable chassis documentation and documentation concerning wheel alignment and wheel angle adjustment.

The registration documentation is given to the buyer, after the data concerning the details to be supervised has been transferred to the Trafi database and / or when the damage inspector has approved the work.

Inspection official has the right to demand documents they deem necessary.

The inspection official must always be presented the photographs of the damaged vehicle given by the seller.

As for a supervised repair, the inspection official must always be presented , except this documentation, also the photographs of the damaged vehicle, and a copy of the repair cost estimate, if one exists.
For repair
-
A vehicle is sold for repair with no terms of inspection. The buyer should note that the inspection authority has the right to demand the monitoring conditions it considers necessary. Four wheel alignement is commonly required in the registration inspection.

The registration documents will be posted to the buyer after payment and collection of the vehicle. This usually takes about three weeks.

After repair, the vehicle is inspected and registered by the buyer. Safety constructions and safety devices may have damages even though no terms of inspection have been settled.

Safety constructions and safety devices have to be repaired based on the regulations of the manufacturer. The repair work has to be performed using correct methods. The properties of the safety constructions must be restored to the level where they were before the damage.

The inspection official has the right to demand documentation of the repair and of the origin of spare parts used in the repair work.

The inspection official must always be presented the photographs of the damaged vehicle given by the seller.
General sales term

The product does not require a repair or it is sold for repair with no terms and monitoring.

The products are sold by, and under the supervision of, Copart as those are and with the accessories on the moment of sales.

The products are for sale mainly in an auction and the customer´s have a possibility to inspect them on-site before placing a bid, so the regulations of distance selling do not apply (no 14 day right of return policy).
To be dismantled

The vehicle has been definitely taken out of the registration, and it cannot be registered to traffic use.

The vehicle is sold for dismantling only.
-
No registration documentation is given to the buyer.

If you want to buy dismantler vehicles, a valid environmental license to handle end of life vehicles is required from the buyer and the buyer has to be a member of Suomen Autokierrätys Oy (Finnish Car Recycling Ltd.) take-back points of end-of-life vehicles.

Dismantler vehicles cannot be exported abroad based on EU regulations.
Used vehicle

The vehicle has not been damaged, it has only been normally decommissioned.

The vehicle may have old damage or natural wear and tear due to use that is not known to Copart.

At the time the vehicle arrived at Copart's facility or at Copart sublot, Copart could not verify that the vehicle (i) started or (ii) ran at idle. There is no information about the vehicle’s operational condition. It is the Member's sole responsibility to ascertain, confirm, research, inspect, and/or investigate the vehicle prior to bidding on it. Once the vehicle is removed from Copart's premises, the Member accepts the vehicle "as is".
VAT
Indicates whether price includes deductible Value Added Tax (VAT).
MARGIN SCHEME 1: Vehicle price will have VAT. Foreign company buyer in EU with valid VAT ID will get VAT free invoice only from fees.
VAT 25,5%: VAT is deductible for Finnish companies. Companies within EU with valid VAT ID will receive a VAT-free invoice.
VIN
A VIN is the Vehicle Identification Number assigned by the manufacturer.
