How to Buy Vehicles from Copart

How to Buy

To start bidding and buying with Copart Finland, you must first become a Copart Basic or Premier Member.

To register for a Copart Membership, please complete our simple 3-step registration form:

 

  1. Enter your contact information

    • Choose individual or business

    • Enter your contact information. The email address you enter will serve as the login ID for your Copart account. Therefore, the same email address cannot be used with more than one member account.

    Click Create account and within minutes of submitting the first step, you will be sent a confirmation email containing your login information and link for creating your password. Password is valid one year (1) after it is creation.

  2. Choose your Membership and pay

    Copart Finland offers different Membership types to meet the unique needs of our buyers.

    • Guest: free membership to browse inventory.

    • Basic (50€): membership for one year which entitles to bid and buy in Copart Finland auctions and to use the membership features.

    • Premium (100€): membership for one year, which entitles to bid and buy in Copart Finland auctions and to use the membership features.

  3. Send required documents and submit necessary address

    • Individual buyer: submit your Social security number for a later electronic authentication or a copy of your current government-issued photo identification.

    • Business buyer: submit your Social security number for a later electronic authentication or a copy of your current government-issued photo identification and upload business licenses/trade registration or other needed documentation.

Criteria & documents

Individual and business buyer, choose step 1. or 2.

  1. Finnish buyer, submit your Finnish Social Security Number for later strong authentication (company representative for business buyers). You can alternatively choose the step 2.

  2. Upload a copy of your current government-issued photo identification, passport or driver's license. If you have a Finnish residence permit you can upload it together with one of the former.

    If you are a licensed business buyer, follow steps 3. and 4.

  3. Submit your VAT or business ID.

  4. Upload business licenses/trade registration

    i. Finnish members will require a Trade Registration (Kaupparekisteriote).

    ii. Non-Finnish members will require documents translated into English.

  5. If you want to buy dismantler vehicles, a valid environmental license to handle end-of-life vehicles is required from the buyer and the buyer has to be a member of Suomen Autokierrätys Oy (Finnish Car Recycling Ltd.) take-back points of end-of-life vehicles. Please upload the said documents.

Please note that business ID, trade registration or similar is not sufficient identification. We also need personal identification by either using strong authentication or sending a copy of Government issued Identification, Driving License or Passport.

You can submit the document(s) via your Member site. Once we have reviewed and approved the documents, we will activate your member account.
